This comprehensive exhibition spans 18 significant sections, showcasing 70 groups of Xu Bing's work. It includes prints, sketches, installations, archives, manuscripts, videos, documentaries, and more. The exhibition offers an in-depth exploration of Xu Bing's creative career, examining everything from his experiences with writing and Chinese calligraphy and painting, to his visual depictions of social scenes and his innovations in concept films and installations. It also presents his work with formal writing and his extensive practice in the development of a future meta-language and the latest in space art.

In contrast to Xu Bing's previous retrospectives that were presented chronologically, this exhibition will focus on the themes of civilization and language, striving to present a concentrated exploration of thought and spirit.
